I've wondered about this for a while. Would it be more likely to damage one's eyesight, say by looking at a very bright light, with the pupils dilated?

i've been thinking about this too for a while. it seems like it would to me- when the pupil dilates it allows more light to hit the retina, which in turn would cause more damage? idk for sure but it seems to make sense. the eye's natural response to light is to close the pupil, and open it in darkness. if you take drugs that cause your pupils to open against its natural response it seems like damage would occor, or atleast be more likely to occur. again, im just speculating...
